What makes SmokeWalkers Different

SmokeWalkers is a small batch distillery focused exclusively on traditional frankincense and myrrh. We work with ancestral groves and long established harvesting relationships and distill in copper using slow deliberate methods.

Our focus is not scale. It is depth. We work with a small range of resins and follow them all the way from tree to finished oil or infusion.

What we work with

We work primarily with Omani frankincense and select myrrh resins. These are aromatic tree resins that have been used for centuries for incense medicine and ritual. We do not source from multiple regions for volume. We choose specific places and stay with them.

How we distill

All essential oils are distilled in copper. Copper behaves differently than stainless steel. It manages heat gently and binds with sulfur compounds that can dull aroma and clarity. This is why copper has been used historically for resin distillation and why we continue to use it today.

Our distillations are slow. We collect the early and late fractions that are often discarded because they take time. This creates a fuller oil that reflects the whole resin rather than just the most volatile portion.

Infusions and slow preparations

Some resins are not meant to be forced. For these we use long low temperature oil infusions. This allows heavier resin compounds to become available for topical use without the intensity or irritation of an essential oil.

This approach mirrors traditional preparation methods rather than modern extraction shortcuts.

What we do not do

We do not dilute for yield.

We do not blend regions.

We do not rush distillations.

We do not follow trends outside of resin work.

Our work stays narrow by choice.

Why this matters

Frankincense and myrrh are slow materials. They respond best to patience repetition and consistency. By keeping our process simple and focused we preserve the character of the resin and the place it comes from.
