Why We Are Planting
At SmokeWalkers we believe the future of frankincense begins with stewardship. Rather than relying solely on existing trees we are actively investing in the creation of new groves in Oman. Every tree purchased through this program is planted directly into our reforestation efforts with 100% of funds going toward the planting and establishment of a Boswellia sacra tree.

Boots on the Ground
Our family will be traveling to Oman in Fall of 2026 to begin planting alongside our local partners. The land that was once barren desert is being transformed into a new generation of frankincense trees that will help secure sustainable harvests for decades to come.
A Long Term Commitment
Frankincense is a lesson in patience. A newly planted tree requires approximately 8-12 years before it is mature enough to begin producing resin. This project is not about next year’s harvest. It is about ensuring that future generations inherit healthy trees healthy groves and a thriving tradition.
